Do you ever feel as if the people around you are speaking words you recognize, but the concepts they are expressing make no sense to you?
They might as well be speaking another language.
Should you try to comprehend the conversation so you can take part in it?
Whenever I sense a should, it’s usually a clue that it is best to simply smile and walk on because I will probably be as unintelligible to them as they are to me.
I don’t need to take part in every conversation I hear.
I don’t need to know everything that is going on around me.
Those realizations have made my life less complicated, and considerably more enjoyable.
More significant than the fact that poets write abstrusely, painters paint abstractly, and composers compose unintelligible music is that people should admire what they cannot understand.
