Happy Birthday, Mom!

In the company of our Elders

we get a sense of where

we came from, and where we are headed.

When Elders speak, we need to open ourselves

to their words.

When Elders move, we would be wise

to make  maps of their journeys

and study each terrain.

When an Elder loves us ~ we are

greatly loved. An Elder knows

the worth of love, how nothing

is more precious, how empty

we truly are without

its full

  1. A nice tribute to our Elders, and a reminder of what they have given us. I enjoyed seeing and reading this after spending the evening with my own mother. Thanks, Carol ~ Paulann
