The Blood of Spiritual Evolution

.

Some people believe blood relations supersede any and all relations. To others, friendships can trump blood relations, especially if family relationships have been less than satisfying.

In order to not only survive, but thrive, we need to go beyond familial and tribal relations, and realize we are all global citizens. This requires doing some blood work.

Blood Work

To meet the tough global, integrated challenges of today, we urgently need to raise the level of our collective leadership. We need to increase both our global intelligence (mind) and our planetary empathy (heart) in order to a give birth to a just and sustainable civilization.
…………~ Mark Gerzon

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life.
…………~ Richard Bach

Love is a sacred reserve of energy; it is like the blood of spiritual evolution.
…………~ Teilhard de Chardin

And ya gotta love a guy like Robin Williams ~ he puts the lack of mental prowess, required for embracing a “bigger” view, into perspective:

God gave men both a penis and a brain, but unfortunately not enough blood supply to run both at the same time.
…………~ Robin Williams

About CarolWiebe

Art entices, inspires, and delights me. Art is a vehicle for laughter, tears, wonder, enlightenment--taking me on a constant path of discovery. You can't say that about housework (except, perhaps, for the crying part).

  2. Another wonderful, intricate, and challenging work of art! I hope I live long enough to see significant movement toward a global community. Some days I’m not too hopeful.

The musician Ken Medema said, “If you’re a Christian, your neighborhood is bigger than your neighborhood.” I would like to believe that if we’re human, our neighborhood expands to all the world around us.

Also good quotes, as usual. I love the Robin Williams statement!

There are a lot of us hoping, Paulann. We are approaching the tipping point!

I consider the Robin William’s quote a confession, given as the spokesman for his gender.

I LOVE hearing from you!
