Heart of a Flower

A flower reminds us how precious life is, she sighed.

Why, because it can be ripped off its stem at any moment? He was not in a frame of mind to be too precious about things.

Sometimes my fear is overwhelming, she replied. Seeing a flower gives me the courage to offer what I can to the world, even though I feel as fragile and ephemeral as those soft petals.

His sour mood evaporated.

In that case, I’ll be sure you have fresh flowers to look at every day, he promised.

About CarolWiebe

Art entices, inspires, and delights me. Art is a vehicle for laughter, tears, wonder, enlightenment--taking me on a constant path of discovery. You can't say that about housework (except, perhaps, for the crying part).
