Open Book Is Not Its Real Name

This work is part of my continuing love affair with cardboard.

Open Book 1

Open Book 2

Can You See the Fish?

That last title is a bit of a red herring, as I didn’t really see one myself. Then I received a comment about the image showing a man’s back, sitting at the edge of a pond, and was quite delighted to realize that if I didn’t see one, it was quite likely that he did (along with Sandra). Art is nothing if not entertaining and full of surprises.

About CarolWiebe

Art entices, inspires, and delights me. Art is a vehicle for laughter, tears, wonder, enlightenment--taking me on a constant path of discovery. You can't say that about housework (except, perhaps, for the crying part).

  1. Aloha Carol,

I can see the fish. However, what immediately stood out is the image of a person’s back, sitting with head bent forward. Because of the reflection, it looks as though he is sitting at the edge of a pond.

Interesting what different things we can see. :-)

Fabulous, Sandra, you turned the tables on me! It IS interesting how differently we all see–and one of the reasons we keep creating. It’s a game with endless permutations.

I LOVE hearing from you!
