Kinetic Energy

I love getting something for nothing, by which I mean that one image yields, with a bit of  coaxing, a thousand others. Of course, I am not really getting the new images for nothing: I am spending a great deal of creative energy to produce those images. As artists, we tend not to count that time, even though we have all heard that time is money.

I don’t know what kind of art I would produce if my primary concern was time = money. There are art coaches who insist we can have it both ways–be soft hearted and hard nosed at the same time. I am working at that, but whenever my artistic curiosity grabs hold of me, I am willing to “squander” huge amounts of time on projects that are very likely to engender little monetary compensation.

At those times, if anyone questioned me about it, I would flash a look at them and retort, like Rhett Butler, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

That said, here are a few more images related to Four Red Orbs and Intersection:

Kinetic Energy really stoked my creative fire.

About CarolWiebe

Art entices, inspires, and delights me. Art is a vehicle for laughter, tears, wonder, enlightenment--taking me on a constant path of discovery. You can't say that about housework (except, perhaps, for the crying part).

  1. Aloha Carol,
I LOVE “Wood and Water”! Just thought you might like to know what really resonates with others or in this case me.

Thank you so much, Sandra. I do appreciate knowing. Remember “Chop Wood, Carry Water?” Maybe, in this case, it’s chop wood, fling water.

I LOVE hearing from you!
